What you'll do:

As an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for your site, working closely with the business and fellow engineers to implement and maintain critical infrastructure, as well as providing day-to-day support to meet current and future business needs. You will have opportunities to participate in projects and innovate, being a key part of a multinational team committed to high-quality results and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all IT equipment and infrastructure operate at optimal performance, meeting KPIs and SLAs.
  • Manage projects across the site, collaborating with the business and engineers to implement changes supporting evolving requirements.
  • Supervise and manage a team of IT technicians, including workload management and reporting to the IT manager and regional IT management.
  • Review, revise, and execute change management requests.
  • Improve equipment efficiency and reduce costs through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct random site audits to ensure adherence to IT and Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Act as a point of contact for contractors and external suppliers, communicating technical issues and standards clearly.
  • Undertake project management and act as a single point of contact for projects.
  • Provide technical support and input to site and team projects, keeping stakeholders informed and maintaining documentation.
  • Perform sanity checks and oversee technical execution of projects.
  • Support ad-hoc requests, assisting a wide customer base.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
  • Linux/Unix System Support experience.
  • MS Windows System Support experience.
  • Background in Networking – LAN/WAN and Wireless.
  • Understanding of core internet technologies – Routing, Switching, DNS, DHCP, mail transport, OSI Model.
  • Telecom knowledge including VOIP/SIP and mobile technologies is advantageous.
  • Experience in customer-facing technical roles, with strong technical aptitude and communication skills.
  • Experience supervising a team or leading peers.
  • Project management and technical task execution experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate autonomously under pressure, handle multiple priorities, and demonstrate professionalism and flexibility.
  • Ability to develop clear documentation and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • Vendor certifications in Linux/Unix, Windows, Cisco (LAN/WAN/Wireless) are beneficial.
  • IT/ICT further education qualification preferred.
  • Experience in dynamic, customer-focused environments, including help desk or technical support management.
  • Ability to support Fulfillment Centre Automated Systems and coordinate with corporate support groups.
