Stantec is looking for a Resident Engineer with Healthcare experience to join our dynamic site team and to support the construction supervision on a healthcare project in UAE.

Key Job Responsibilities:

1. To plan, direct, coordinate construction activities and monitor project execution.
2. Management of a team of multi-discipline architects, engineers, inspectors, and specialists.
3. Attendance or representation as appropriate at all project-related construction meetings.
4. Monitoring and reporting on the contractor’s activities on site with respect to technical and contractual compliance.
5. Supervise the adherence to project Health and Safety Plan and instruct appropriate action regarding Health and safety issues.
6. Ensuring maintenance and compliance of Stantec procedures.
7. Report on the performance of the contractors regarding quality of works and compliance with project performance indicators.
8. Review and approval of shop drawings, materials and equipment, mockups and samples, brochures, and other engineering submissions.
9. Review and approval of as-built drawings, guarantees, warranties, maintenance manuals, spare parts, and close-out reports.
10. Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, emergencies at construction site.
11. Coordinate with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and Stantec design teams to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
12. Respond to Request for Information and queries raised by contractors.
13. As appropriate, visit the sites of the extraction and fabrication of material/equipment for performance & workmanship before delivery to site.
14. Assist the Client in settling disputes between the client and contractors.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 15 years’ ME experience including 8 years in UAE working in an international consultant environment.
2. Healthcare facility project delivery/construction experience would be preferred.
3. Strong engineering and technical background (FIDIC contracts).
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
5. Excellent command of Microsoft Office business solutions (Excel, Word).
