Job description

Job Summary

Senior Electrical Technician should be able to complete jobs & tasks assigned to him by the Supervisor/Manager, within the required time frame. He should be able to read and interpret technical drawings, determine the appropriate assembly tools and techniques to be used to complete the job as per the specifications provided in the Work Order package issued. He should be able to train junior electricians and support them in day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand the Work Order (WO) for the assigned job.
• Plan the sequence of necessary actions for job completion.
• Assemble the job as per the specifications in the Work Order package.
• Update and maintain documents required for relevant work orders.
• Notify supervisor of any mistakes or as-built changes required.
• Conduct hydrostatic tests or FAT of completed jobs only if authorized, at designated areas.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition at all times.
• Report any machine problems or accidents to the cell leader immediately.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the workshop as per 5S principles.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies.
• Perform any tasks/duties as requested by the cell leader.
• Be available for field service trips if required and for other activities requested by management.

Essential Educational Qualifications & Experience

• High School Certificate
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an electrical technician
• Ability to read and understand hydraulic schematics, electrical schematics, and engineering drawings
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)

Desirable Qualifications

• Technical training certificate
• Diploma in electrical engineering
• Experience in electrical installation
• Familiarity with NOV K-Winch/WPCE/WHE products
