Responsibilities
  1. Partner with the Regional Head to lead, drive, and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy and people plan for the MARO region.
  2. Provide strategic HR leadership to the regional office team, advising on human capital implications of business decisions.
  3. Lead regional efforts in talent acquisition, ensuring the hiring of the right people in the right positions.
  4. Lead regional efforts in talent management, development, and retention, including a robust talent pipeline for critical roles within the region.
  5. Implement succession planning and leadership development initiatives.
  6. Collaborate with global HR & compensation to ensure that compensation strategies support the attraction and retention of talent while aligning with regional and global policies. Lead and participate in the annual performance and salary review exercise for calibrations at the regional level.
  7. Manage employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with local labor legislation and group policies.
  8. Lead HR aspects of organizational change initiatives within the region. Support leaders in managing change effectively.
  9. Provide leadership in developing HR capabilities in the MARO region to meet the current and future needs of the organization.
  10. Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives specific to the cultural and legal context of the region.
  11. Foster a positive and collaborative work culture across diverse countries within the region.
  12. Lead the region's HR risk management initiatives, including labor relations, employee safety, and data privacy.
  13. Act as a key liaison between the local HR team and the global HR function, ensuring alignment of strategies and policies.
Qualifications
  1. Degree / Diploma in HR, Business, or related field with at least 15 years of relevant regional experience in a global firm.
  2. Proven leadership and supervisory experience, guiding and developing people.
  3. Resilient, adaptable, able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Strong stakeholder management skills with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  5. Meticulous, independent, and resourceful.
  6. Able to work at both strategic and operational levels.
