Job description

As the Manager of Enterprise Risk Management and Insurance, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the organisation's assets, reputation, and sustainability across the group portfolio. This role acts as a strategic advisor to the group and its subsidiaries, managing the processes, strategies, and frameworks to identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor risks across operations to ensure adequate insurance coverage.

Description

1. Proactively identify, analyse, and prioritise potential risks to the group's objectives, operations, and assets.
2. Develop and implement risk management strategies and mitigation plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
3. Evaluate and manage insurance policies and coverage, and lead insurance workstreams for new projects.
4. Ensure regulatory compliance and prepare risk management reports for stakeholders.
5. Work with senior management, business subsidiaries, and joint ventures.
6. Foster a risk-aware culture within the organisation and encourage proactive risk identification approaches.

Minimum Requirements

• UAE National with Family Book.
• Fluent in Arabic & English.
• A minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience in risk management/insurance within infrastructure-focused businesses (such as the National Grid, etc.).
• Bachelor's degree in risk management, finance, business administration, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Enterprise Risk Manager (CERM), ISO 31000 Enterprise Risk Management, or similar are highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of insurance principles and practices.
• Proven experience in managing insurance portfolios, including policy assessment, claims management, and negotiation.
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and compliance related to risk management and insurance within the UAE.
