Job Description

Job Purpose:

Oversee purchase order management and vendor management.

Expedite with suppliers: Follow up to ensure timely delivery of materials OTIF (On-time in full).

Coordinate with forwarding agents for inbound logistics.

Play a key role in strategic process transformation in materials and demand planning management.

Key Accountabilities:
  1. Manage existing and potential vendors across the globe.
  2. Ensure material availability for production as per the master production schedule.
  3. Place purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of parts.
  4. Prepare material status reports for weekly review.
  5. Identify risks within the supply chain process and create mitigation plans to reduce these risks.
  6. Track material movements in supply chain and logistics.
  7. Manage vendor returns, rejections, and MSR.
  8. Undertake any other duties to enhance efficiency, quality, and service of the supply chain department.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Educational Qualifications: Engineering diploma in Electrical or Mechanical engineering, ITI electrical or mechanical, or equivalent.

Experience: More than 3 years in supply chain/logistics in a manufacturing company, preferably in the switchgear industry.

Additional Skills: Experience working with global suppliers, excellent communication skills, data and critical thinking, proficiency in MS Office and ERP packages (experience with Microsoft D365 is a plus).
