Job Description

This position is responsible for managing sales activities in line with the annual sales and marketing plan and for achieving/exceeding the budget by executing the sales strategy of the hotel.

  1. Achieve a daily targeted number of sales calls with effectiveness.
  2. Develop business leads for the hotel on a weekly basis.
  3. Prepare a monthly list of accounts to penetrate for the following month.
  4. Plan a minimum of 2 site inspections/entertainment meetings per week to qualify potential or new accounts.
  5. Prepare a monthly action plan for the main market segment.
  6. Perform monthly review of account profile on room nights production and average rate.
  7. Monitor competitors’ rate strategies, account penetration, and marketing activities to maintain a competitive edge.
  8. Be fully responsible for accounts under management, including contracting, updating profiles, and renewing contracts.
  9. Update management on VIP arrivals and meet and greet accordingly.
  10. Upsell, cross-sell, and promote hotel facilities and services at every available opportunity to maximize sales revenue.
  11. Conduct negotiations to achieve the best profit and rates for the hotel.
  12. Attend hotel client and local community business events to network and maintain high visibility.
  13. Update the manager on market trends and business leads.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar capacity.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly reliable in thorough execution and follow-through.
  • A team player and builder.
