Job description

Lead and manage security design consulting engagements to a professional standard; independently and/or in support of other senior colleagues, and the Director.

Be a subject Matter Expert of electronic security systems and manage security design and installation projects from conception to completion.

Maintain client and company deliverables, ensuring high quality, and that budgets and programs are met and maintained.

Develop and build new and existing client relationships, facilitating the introduction and provision of additional Control Risks services where appropriate.

Role tasks and responsibilities
Consulting:
  • Undertake technical security reviews, audits, design surveys, installation inspections, approvals, and similar tasks at client sites and in the office.
  • Design physical and electronic security systems in conjunction with specialist engineers within project design teams.
Task management:
  • Act as the lead consultant on assignments, owning problems and providing problem-solving at the local level.
  • Lead and participate in client and project meetings.
  • Ensure practices, policies, strategy, and services represent the client’s best interests.
  • Maintain and develop long-term client relationships, working with key account managers.
  • Maintain accurate time and expense records for proper invoicing.
Task delivery:
  • Deliver tasks on time, within budget, and to high standards.
  • Collaborate with the team and leverage their experiences and opinions.
  • Travel may be involved to client sites and offices within the Middle East, Europe, and Africa.
Business development:
  • Proactively seek project and business development opportunities.
  • Engage in business development activities with senior management.
  • Contribute to marketing and profile-raising events.
  • Participate in client meetings and develop long-term relationships.
Team / practice development:
  • Provide expert knowledge of security consulting and other Control Risks service lines.
Requirements
Knowledge and Experience
  • Proven experience in security integration, design, consulting, or engineering, specifically in electronic and physical security systems.
  • Technical expertise in CCTV, access control, and other security technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and long-term relationships.
  • Professional qualifications such as CPP, PSP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Attention to detail in design and project management.
Essential:
  • Hands-on experience installing and delivering enterprise-class electronic security solutions.
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver technical consulting engagements.
  • Knowledge of current standards and practices.
  • Project management experience in security consulting and installations.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam software.
Preferred:
  • Experience in designing physical security systems like fencing, gates, walls, doors, and facades.
  • Knowledge of design software such as Revit, SketchUp, MS Project.
Qualifications and skills:
  • Security or engineering qualifications; ASIS PSP or similar.
Personal and interpersonal skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including influencing and client management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders.
  • High standards in report writing and communication techniques.
