Job Description

The CCB & IB Business Finance team comprises individual functions globally supporting products such as Global Corporate Finance, Transaction Banking, Global Markets, along with the Coverage function. The unit falls under the Group Finance department and reports to the CFO, CIB & International.

Key Priorities Of This Role Include
  1. Act as a trusted Finance advisor on business performance & strategic issues specific to the business.
  2. Provide world-class financial reporting & support services, adding value through professional, independent & objective financial advice to achieve business objectives while complying with policies and standards.
  3. Produce financial & management accounting reports for the functional area in line with Group standards, maintaining a robust control environment.

The IB Business Finance function is responsible for finance matters specific to Investment Banking, including Performance, Control, Forecasting, Budgeting & Strategy. It supports other Group Finance functions such as Treasury, Central FP&A, Tax, and Financial & Regulatory Reporting.

Business Partnering
  • Promote the organization’s values and ethics within the team to foster a value-driven culture.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
  • Assist in data gathering and control implementation to enhance governance, accuracy, and efficiency of financial reporting.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for system, process, and practice improvements considering global standards and cost efficiency.
Reporting
  • Support current processes for management and financial reporting and analysis.
Specific Accountability
  • Support functional VP & SVP regarding Investment Banking Financials, New Product Approvals, and Financial Control.
  • Assist with finance projects within the Corporate and Investment Banking Finance unit.
  • Ensure Finance acts as a key business partner and trusted advisor, helping to drive the business forward.
  • Contribute to management forums, MIS reviews, and provide value-added commentary on Coverage and CIB products.
  • Perform segment/sector analysis, business reviews, and customer reviews.
  • Calculate and interpret incentives for Commercial Banking Business & RM.
  • Develop and rollout Customer/Segment MIS to support IB globally.
  • Conduct comprehensive P&L analysis of Coverage performance.
  • Support internal audits to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Become proficient in Group Finance systems such as Power BI, OBIEE, One Sumix, and T24.
  • Support the annual BCP for the Corporate & Investment Banking – Finance unit.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, or Finance.
Minimum Experience
  • Knowledge of capital markets and financial products.
  • Ability to work efficiently with large data volumes (Excel Macros, VBA).
  • Basic accounting knowledge.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm to learn.
  • Proven ability to liaise with Business, Enablement functions, Auditors, and internal customers.
  • Excellent communication skills, integrity, and ability to perform under pressure.
