Roles and Responsibilities
  1. Review electrical engineering drawings and refer issues requiring changes.
  2. Assign job tasks and work according to electrical project schedules.
  3. Review all electrical drawings with Leadmen performing on assigned jobs.
  4. Stimulate fabrication standards to ensure quality work from assigned staff.
  5. Recruit, guide, train, monitor, and terminate employees as required.
  6. Recommend effective solutions related to employment status of employees.
  7. Schedule, assign, plan, and supervise electrical shop personnel performance on various projects.
  8. Plan and prepare work and equipment usage schedules.
  9. Develop electrical expenditure priorities and maintenance procedures for equipment and appliances.
  10. Forecast electrical material and labor needs.
  11. Train and inform employees about new work procedures.
  12. Provide information on modifications to work policies, safety regulations, electrical codes, and specifications.
  13. Review future building plans and inspect new buildings for compliance with electrical codes and maintenance standards.
  14. Inspect new construction and remodels.
  15. Support Electrical Engineers with design requirements.
  16. Prepare Inspection Requests (IRs) for materials and equipment delivered to the site for client inspection.
  17. Maintain daily site diaries and monitor progress.
  18. Manage labor attendance and allocation.
  19. Liaise with discipline engineers on technical issues affecting construction, operation, maintenance, safety, and progress.
  20. Inspect completed sections of work prior to initiating Inspection Requests to the Client Engineer.
