Roles and Responsibilities
- Review electrical engineering drawings and refer issues requiring changes.
- Assign job tasks and work according to electrical project schedules.
- Review all electrical drawings with Leadmen performing on assigned jobs.
- Stimulate fabrication standards to ensure quality work from assigned staff.
- Recruit, guide, train, monitor, and terminate employees as required.
- Recommend effective solutions related to employment status of employees.
- Schedule, assign, plan, and supervise electrical shop personnel performance on various projects.
- Plan and prepare work and equipment usage schedules.
- Develop electrical expenditure priorities and maintenance procedures for equipment and appliances.
- Forecast electrical material and labor needs.
- Train and inform employees about new work procedures.
- Provide information on modifications to work policies, safety regulations, electrical codes, and specifications.
- Review future building plans and inspect new buildings for compliance with electrical codes and maintenance standards.
- Inspect new construction and remodels.
- Support Electrical Engineers with design requirements.
- Prepare Inspection Requests (IRs) for materials and equipment delivered to the site for client inspection.
- Maintain daily site diaries and monitor progress.
- Manage labor attendance and allocation.
- Liaise with discipline engineers on technical issues affecting construction, operation, maintenance, safety, and progress.
- Inspect completed sections of work prior to initiating Inspection Requests to the Client Engineer.
