As a Procurement Manager (Aircraft), you will manage the acquisition of goods and/or services in collaboration with the business/user department, contributing process orientation and commercial expertise. You will facilitate and coordinate effective cross-functional teamwork and act as the account manager/interface between Emirates and selected high-value suppliers.
In this role, you will:
- Sourcing and supplier selection: Formulate sourcing plans including negotiation strategy in conjunction with the business/user department within the approved budget. Identify and evaluate sources of supply that meet Emirates requirements, minimizing total lifetime cost and business risk.
- Supplier Relationship Management, KPIs, and assessment: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to provide optimal benefits to Emirates. Develop and execute comprehensive supplier assessment and benchmarking processes to measure performance, quality, turnaround times, and operational support. Address any shortfalls with appropriate actions to meet business needs.
- Stakeholder Management: Support stakeholders in their procurement initiatives, including spend assessment, business case preparation, cost monitoring, and compliance adherence.
- Process and procedure: Ensure all processes align with group policies and regulatory requirements, are properly documented, and are continuously reviewed for effectiveness. Lead the team and manage performance through MyBC, ensuring SLA delivery and departmental objectives.
- Lease Negotiations: Act as Engineering Focal for Corporate Treasury in reviewing and negotiating financing arrangements for new aircraft. Coordinate with Fleet Planning to identify lease extensions and negotiate optimal terms for cost and operational flexibility.
- Lease Management: Manage contractual obligations in aircraft leases, coordinate with stakeholders, provide required data, issue notices, and maintain a comprehensive lease obligations database.
- Aircraft redeliveries and end-of-lease management: Oversee the end-of-lease process, negotiate contractual payments, and coordinate with stakeholders for smooth, timely, and cost-effective redeliveries.
- Aircraft Disposal: Manage aircraft disposals, identify potential buyers, negotiate contracts, and ensure a smooth disposal process, including engineering scrap inventory management.
- Contracting: Draft and negotiate contracts capturing negotiated terms, operational support, and service levels. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to finalize and execute contracts per policies and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Honours in Business and/or Engineering, preferably Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering
- 8+ years of experience in Procurement, Aircraft, or Supply Chain Management
- Experience in an Airline, OEM, or Maintenance Organization
- Extensive knowledge of supplier performance management and relationship structuring
- Understanding of airline engineering and maintenance activities
- Strong process implementation skills
- Project management experience in a global supply environment
- Market benchmarking skills
- Experience with aviation maintenance services and familiarity with GCAA/FAA/EASA regulations is a plus
- Specific domain expertise in aircraft procurement is advantageous
- Strong analytical skills
