Job summary

Rosewood Abu Dhabi is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to oversee the property's infrastructure, manage preventive maintenance, and ensure prompt resolution of technical and guest-related issues. You will work with the Director of Engineering and fellow engineers to maintain luxury standards and operational excellence.

• Experience leading maintenance or engineering teams in hospitality.
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical).
• Proficient in troubleshooting and quick decision-making in fast-paced environments.
• Demonstrated proactive preventive maintenance approach.
• Effective communication with guests, associates, contractors, and leadership.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and service excellence.

• Lead and supervise engineering associates to ensure safe, efficient maintenance to high standards.
• Monitor preventive maintenance programs for guestrooms, public areas, kitchens, and recreational facilities.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and maintenance issues to minimize disruption.
• Coordinate work orders, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion of projects.
• Conduct inspections, inventory controls, and technical audits for compliance.
• Coach and develop the team with performance feedback and safety training.

THE TEAM

The Engineering team at Rosewood Abu Dhabi plays a vital role in ensuring the hotel operates safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of luxury hospitality. Through proactive maintenance, technical expertise, and operational excellence, the team supports every aspect of the guest and associate experience.

YOUR ROLE

As an Engineering Supervisor, you will work closely with the Director of Engineering, Duty Engineers, and fellow engineering associates to maintain the property's infrastructure, oversee preventive maintenance activities, and ensure timely resolution of operational and guest-related issues.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE

• Lead and supervise engineering associates to ensure maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards
• Monitor preventive maintenance programs for guestrooms, HVAC systems, public areas, kitchens, laundry facilities, and recreational areas
• Respond promptly to guest requests, maintenance issues, and emergency situations to minimize operational disruption
• Coordinate work orders, prioritize engineering tasks, and ensure timely completion of departmental projects
• Conduct inspections, inventory controls, and technical audits to maintain operational readiness and regulatory compliance
• Support team development through coaching, performance feedback, training, and adherence to safety procedures

• You have experience leading maintenance or engineering teams within a hotel, resort, or similar hospitality environment
• You possess strong technical knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment
• You are skilled at troubleshooting, problem-solving, and making sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
• You have a proactive approach to preventive maintenance and operational efficiency
• You are an effective communicator who can confidently interact with guests, associates, contractors, and leadership teams
• You are committed to safety, quality, and delivering exceptional service standards
