Job Description

Project Manager - Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with engineers, designers, etc. to determine the specifications of the project.
2. Negotiate and finalize contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
3. Liaise to obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
4. Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish for projects with attention to budgetary limitations.
5. Plan all engineering, procurement, and construction activities as per project scope of work and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines are met.
6. Acquire equipment and materials and monitor stocks to handle inadequacies timely.
7. Engage sub-contractors for specialized works and allocate responsibilities.
8. Supervise and manage the work of the project and construction team and provide guidance when needed.
9. Evaluate progress and guide planner to prepare detailed reports.
10. Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues to higher management.

Requirements and Skills

1. Proven experience in the role of project manager or senior project engineer in the oil and gas industry (minimum experience 13-15 years required).
2. In-depth understanding of project and construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
3. Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
4. Good knowledge of MS Office.
5. Familiarity with construction/project management software.
6. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
7. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
8. A team player with leadership abilities.
9. Bachelor’s/Graduate in engineering, preferably in Electrical and Instrumentation or relevant field.
10. PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage.
