Job summary

Orbit International Survey Services LLC is seeking an experienced E&I Commissioning Engineer to lead pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and handover for offshore and petrochemical projects in the UAE. You will ensure safe, efficient execution aligned with project specs and client requirements.

The role requires 5+ years in E&I commissioning with strong PLC, DCS, ESD, SCADA, and Fire & Gas knowledge, plus ability to review drawings and coordinate multi-discipline teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in Electrical & Instrumentation commissioning in Offshore, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of PLC, DCS, ESD, SCADA, Fire & Gas, and power distribution systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and commissioning documentation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute Electrical and Instrumentation pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and system handover activities offshore.
• Review engineering documents, P&IDs, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, cause & effect charts, and commissioning procedures.
• Supervise loop checking, calibration, functional testing, and troubleshooting of field instruments and control systems.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning of switchgears, transformers, MCCs, motors, UPS systems, lighting, and power distribution systems.
• Perform commissioning of PLC, DCS, ESD, Fire & Gas, and SCADA systems.
• Coordinate with Construction, QA/QC, Operations, Vendors, and Client representatives to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare commissioning procedures, method statements, test packs, punch lists, and commissioning reports.
• Monitor system completion activities and ensure timely closure of punch items, ITRs, and turnover dossiers.
• Lead troubleshooting activities and provide technical solutions during commissioning and startup.
• Ensure all commissioning activities comply with project specifications, company procedures, HSE requirements, and international standards.

Role Overview

Orbit International Survey Services LLC is seeking an experienced E&I Commissioning Engineer to lead and coordinate the pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and handover of electrical and instrumentation systems for offshore and petrochemical projects.
