Job Description

We are hiring a Director of Ecommerce for the MEA & APAC region,

As the Ecommerce Director – MEA+APAC, you will play a pivotal role in driving digital sales and optimizing the e-commerce experience for Ennismore’s diverse brand portfolio. The scope of properties will include all Lifestyle Collective properties in the MEA and APAC regions. You will be responsible for spearheading initiatives to increase direct bookings on our brand websites, working in close partnership with product, revenue, and property teams. With a focus on operational leadership, digital marketing, and revenue management, you will ensure that our digital platforms deliver a seamless, high-converting, and commercially impactful user experience.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Optimize Website Performance: Collaborate with product, revenue, and brand VPs to enhance websites and booking engine functionality, user experience, and conversion rates. Leverage insights from the product team to continuously refine digital touchpoints and maximize performance.
  2. Deep Product Partnership: Work hand-in-hand with the product team to ensure alignment between commercial objectives and product development. Prioritize enhancements and features that drive direct bookings, user engagement, and overall website effectiveness.
  3. Lead Acquisition Marketing: Manage the acquisition marketing strategy and paid campaigns, with direct oversight of the Digital marketing and regional e-commerce teams. Develop digital marketing campaigns that effectively drive traffic and convert into direct bookings.
  4. Coordinate Paid Media & ROI: Oversee paid media investments, ensuring a focus on budget efficiency and maximizing returns. Drive media teams and performance improvements. Collaborate with brand team on CRM campaigns. The Ecommerce Director will also drive the campaign calendar in collaboration with the brand teams.
  5. Performance Assessment: Partner with the Data and Insights team to assess website performance at the individual hotel level, providing actionable recommendations to improve key metrics.
  6. Drive Commercial Initiatives: Lead customer journey optimization, exclusive offers, and other direct sales initiatives on brand.com to drive engagement and conversion. Monitor the pricing structure ensuring competitiveness with third-party sales channels.
  7. Prioritize Feature Development: Collaborate with commercial stakeholders and product owners to prioritize new engineering features based on their commercial potential. Ensure these features align with strategic goals and are delivered with high impact.
  8. New features implementation: Engage with property teams to implement new digital features and ensure they fully utilize digital tools and processes to enhance their online presence.
  9. Triage & Troubleshoot Website Issues: Triage website and booking engine related issues, coordinate troubleshooting efforts with the support team, and ensure rapid resolution to minimize business impact. The role will have direct oversight of the Customer Success Managers.
  10. New Openings Coordination: Act as the digital lead for newly opening properties, ensuring websites are ready for launch and aligned with company e-commerce goals.

Qualifications

  • Ideally a degree in a business / hospitality related subject.
  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in the same field within the hospitality industry is required.
  • Proven experience in e-commerce management, with a deep understanding of digital product development, user experience, and revenue optimization.
  • Strong expertise in digital marketing, including performance marketing, paid media strategy, SEO, and ROI management. Proven success in executing high-impact marketing campaigns that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience in collaborating with revenue management teams to align digital marketing and e-commerce efforts with dynamic pricing, inventory management, and promotional strategies.
  • Solid track record of driving direct bookings, reducing dependency on OTAs, and increasing revenue via online sales channels.
  • Analytical mindset with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making. Proficient in using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, CRM, and performance marketing platforms to monitor and improve campaign performance.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams at all levels.
  • Experience with A / B testing, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and experimentation methodologies to enhance the digital sales funnel.
  • Hands-on experience in project management and digital transformation, including implementing new features and troubleshooting digital platforms.
