Job summary

Noble seeks a Junior DPO to support the Senior DPO on DP vessels in offshore operations. The role focuses on maintaining station keeping, monitoring DP system performance, and ensuring safe and compliant operations during drilling campaigns.

The successful candidate will train under supervision, possess a valid Unlimited DPO certificate, and hold relevant mariners licenses. Excellent communication with rig teams and ship's control rooms is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Transportation preferred.
• 1+ years of experience on DP vessels in an industrial marine environment.
• Unlimited DPO certificate issued by the Nautical Institute.
• USCG Unlimited Tonnage Any Oceans Third Mate's License, or equivalent.
• Completion of all training requirements for the position within designated time period.
• Proficient in office applications, dynamic positioning control systems, and other systems required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Assist Sr. DPO to gain knowledge and proficiency in DP operations.
• Optimize vessel position and heading to minimize vessel force required to maintain location.
• Continuously monitor weather and met ocean conditions to anticipate changes in net forces acting on the vessel.
• Understand and follow prescribed WSOG, Standing Orders, Night Orders, and Noble policies.
• Maintain a high level of situational awareness while on watch and minimize distractions to prudent watchkeeping.
