Job summary

GEMS Education in Dubai invites applications for a Secondary PE Teacher to deliver engaging, differentiated Physical Education for boys in line with the National Curriculum for England.

The role focuses on developing physical skills, tactical understanding, fitness, teamwork, and safeguarding, with responsibilities spanning lesson planning, assessment, curriculum development, and supervision of extracurricular sport.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education.
• Master's degree in Physical Education.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated PE lessons for Secondary boys.
• Teach in accordance with the school curriculum and National Curriculum for England requirements.
• Utilize varied teaching, coaching, and assessment strategies to maximise student progress.
• Develop physical skills, tactical awareness, fitness, confidence and enjoyment of sport.
• Promote teamwork, leadership, resilience, discipline, sportsmanship and respect.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
• Prepare and maintain schemes of work, lesson plans, and learning resources.
• Ensure progression in knowledge, skills and physical development throughout the Secondary phase.
• Contribute to PE curriculum review and departmental development.
• Conduct examinations as required.
• Remain current with developments in PE pedagogy, sport, and curriculum requirements.
