What will I be doing?

As Duty Engineer you will support the Director of Engineering in all aspects of engineering operations, including maintenance, safety protocols, and facility management. Ensures efficient operation and maintenance of all hotel equipment and systems, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for guests and team members.

• Assists in overseeing the maintenance and operation of all hotel mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal functioning.
• Conducts regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Responds promptly to all engineering service calls, ensuring quick resolution and minimal disruption to guests.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Facilitates a positive team environment, ensuring team members feel valued and recognized.
• Supports training initiatives within the department, enhancing team skills and knowledge.
• Assists in managing the engineering budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
• Adheres to all Hilton standards, ensuring consistent quality and service.
• Assists in testing all fire prevention systems regularly to ensure hotel safety.
• Helps in supervising daily maintenance and repair works, maintaining the hotel’s premium standards.
• Participates in the selection and evaluation of new team members, fostering a skilled and motivated team.
• Ensures compliance with security and safety regulations, maintaining awareness of local laws and risk procedures.
• Contributes to team leadership through ongoing learning and development.
