Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Monitoring and maintaining the hotel’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems during your shift
• Responding promptly to guest room and facility maintenance requests to ensure minimal disruption
• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance to uphold safety and functionality standards
• Conducting routine inspections of equipment, public areas, and back-of-house facilities, addressing issues proactively
• Coordinating emergency repairs or incidents and reporting immediately to the Engineering Manager
• Maintaining accurate records of activities, work orders, and equipment performance
• Supporting energy-saving initiatives by identifying and reporting inefficiencies
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, hotel standards, and local codes
• Supervising and guiding maintenance staff or technicians during your shift, if applicable
• Being available for emergency callouts and participating in fire safety and emergency response programs

Qualifications and experience we seek include:

• Diploma or certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering
• At least 2–3 years of hands-on maintenance or engineering experience in a luxury hotel
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and fire safety equipment
• Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and preventive maintenance software
• Ability to work independently and take initiative during shifts
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Computer skills for logging requests and reports
• Knowledge of UAE safety codes and hotel industry standards
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays
