Accor is seeking a Duty Engineer for a Dubai property to monitor and maintain mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems, ensuring peak performance and guest comfort. You will troubleshoot faults, perform preventive maintenance, respond to emergencies, and keep detailed records while coordinating with other departments to meet safety standards and operational needs.

The ideal candidate holds an Engineering diploma or degree with relevant certifications (HVAC, electrical safety) and demonstrates

Duty Engineer

• Monitor and maintain mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical faults or equipment failures promptly.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to reduce risk of breakdowns.
• Respond quickly to emergencies, such as alarms or safety hazards, following protocols.
• Keep detailed records of equipment status, maintenance work, and incidents.
• Coordinate with other departments to address operational and technical needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Support installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment or systems as required.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

• Diploma or degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant field)
• Relevant technical certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical safety, mechanical maintenance)
• Proven experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of engineering systems
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and handle emergencies calmly
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
