Job description

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in ethics and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of applicable laws, regulations, international guidelines, and standards, including Anti-Bribery & Corruption laws, general updates, and current trends in the compliance space in the EMEA region.
  • Effective application of legal knowledge and compliance experience to manage complex third-party due diligence reviews.
  • Ability to communicate clearly at all levels, set priorities, establish objectives and milestones, estimate timelines, and schedule activities, while identifying and allocating resources effectively.
  • Ability to independently manage day-to-day challenges related to work deliverables, timelines, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Should have a strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
  • Self-motivated and solution-oriented with excellent mentoring, collaboration, and team-building skills.
  • Strong understanding of and adherence to Worley's Code of Conduct and values.

Role Purpose

As a member of Worley's global Compliance team, to promote, oversee, and implement Worley's compliance program, ensuring that locations, project operations, and functions act in accordance with Worley's Values and Code of Conduct.

The role responsibilities include:

  • Being a key point of contact for ethics and compliance due diligence of third-party business partners in the EMEA region, ensuring due diligence is conducted before entering a business relationship.
  • Conducting risk-based due diligence of existing, new, and potential third parties to identify risks related to ethics and compliance, including bribery, corruption, money laundering, modern slavery, sanctions, and other unethical conduct.
  • Preparing and communicating suitable risk mitigation plans based on identified risks.
  • Mentoring and leading the due diligence team members supporting the EMEA region, ensuring timely completion of their actions.
  • Identifying gaps in the due diligence process and escalating relevant matters to the Compliance Program Manager and Chief Compliance Officer.
  • Providing guidance to leadership and personnel in the EMEA region on ethics and compliance due diligence matters.
  • Developing an annual plan of compliance activities aligned with regional and global compliance roadmaps.
  • Developing, coordinating, and delivering compliance training and workshops in English and regional languages to Worley employees and third-party contractors, promoting ethical conduct and compliance standards.
  • Supporting compliance audits as necessary.
  • Working closely with location leadership.
  • Providing regular updates to the Compliance team.
