Job summary

WAHA AIR in Dubai, UAE is seeking an experienced HVAC Ductman to join our installation team. The role focuses on PI (Pre-Insulated) duct fabrication, on-site installation, and the preparation of fabrication tag lists for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

The candidate will read HVAC shop drawings, take accurate site measurements, and perform cutting, grooving, bending, folding, joining, sealing, and assembly of PI ducts. UAE contracting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of practical experience in HVAC duct fabrication and installation.
• Strong hands-on experience in PI duct fabrication is mandatory.
• Experience in duct fabrication tag list preparation is mandatory.
• Ability to read HVAC shop drawings and duct fabrication drawings.
• Experience with PI duct cutting tools and fabrication equipment.
• UAE HVAC contracting experience preferred.

Job Description

WAHA AIR is looking for an experienced and skilled HVAC Ductman to join our HVAC installation and project execution team in Dubai.

The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience in PI (Pre-Insulated) Duct Fabrication, Duct Installation, and Tag List Preparation, with the ability to independently fabricate and install HVAC ductwork according to approved shop drawings and project specifications.

The candidate will be responsible for duct fabrication, cutting, assembly, installation, measurement, and preparation of duct fabrication tag lists for residential, commercial, and industrial HVAC projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform PI (Pre-Insulated) duct fabrication and installation according to approved HVAC drawings.
• Prepare accurate duct fabrication tag lists, including duct dimensions, quantities, piece identification, and installation locations.
• Read and interpret HVAC shop drawings, duct layouts, and fabrication details.
• Take accurate site measurements before duct fabrication.
• Perform duct cutting, grooving, bending, folding, joining, sealing, and assembly.
• Fabricate duct fittings, including elbows, reducers, transitions, offsets, branches, and connections.
• Prepare duct pieces according to fabrication tag numbers and approved dimensions.
• Install supply air, return air, fresh air, and exhaust air ductwork.
• Ensure proper duct alignment, supports, hangers, sealing, and installation quality.
• Coordinate duct fabrication and installation activities with site engineers and supervisors.
• Identify drawing discrepancies and site measurement issues before fabrication.
• Minimize material wastage and maintain fabrication accuracy.
• Follow project safety procedures and quality standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of practical experience in HVAC duct fabrication and installation.
• Strong hands-on experience in PI duct fabrication is mandatory.
• Experience in duct fabrication tag list preparation is mandatory.
• Ability to read HVAC shop drawings and duct fabrication drawings.
• Good knowledge of duct dimensions, fittings, connections, and installation methods.
• Ability to independently take site measurements and prepare fabrication requirements.
• Experience using PI duct cutting tools, fabrication equipment, and installation tools.
• Knowledge of duct sealing, supports, hangers, and installation standards.
• Previous UAE HVAC contracting experience is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a site installation team.

Important Requirement

Candidates must have practical experience in both PI Duct Fabrication and Tag List Preparation.

• We are specifically looking for a Ductman who can independently read drawings, take measurements, prepare duct tag lists, fabricate PI ducts, and carry out on-site installation works.
