About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Senior DA Executive to oversee invoicing operations for complex government and defence contracts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end billing cycles, leading documentation efforts, supporting junior team members, and ensuring invoicing accuracy and timeliness to mitigate delay-related penalties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation, verification, and submission of invoices for multi-country port calls and related services.
  • Ensure alignment with client contract terms, billing formats, and supporting documentation requirements.
  • Act as the point of contact for critical billing queries, escalations, and client clarifications.
  • Monitor internal workflows to ensure adherence to invoicing timelines and help prevent liquidated damages (LD) due to delays.
  • Review supporting documents from operations and procurement teams to ensure billing completeness.
  • Maintain billing compliance logs, master trackers, and audit trails in line with internal policies and client expectations.
  • Mentor junior invoicing executives and provide peer review support to improve accuracy and response time.
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, and operations teams on reconciliations, corrections, and process improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • years of experience in invoicing, billing, or finance operations, ideally in maritime, defence contracting, or logistics.
  • Strong understanding of government invoicing protocols, compliance standards, and supporting documentation.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including reconciliation and template management.
  • Clear, concise communication skills—written and spoken—with clients and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage invoicing timelines, especially in contracts where delay penalties apply.
  • Familiarity with ERP or billing systems is preferred (, SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision and maintain data integrity under pressure.
