Job summary

Al Ashram Contracting is seeking a dedicated QAQC Engineer to join our Dubai construction team. You will develop and manage QA/QC procedures, lead inspections and audits, and drive quality improvements on site.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering background, UAE market experience, and strong knowledge of codes and safety regulations. Travel across Dubai sites may be required, and mentoring of junior staff is part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a QAQC Engineer in the construction industry, preferably within the UAE market.
• Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, codes, and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various project stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, NEBOSH) are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel to site locations across Dubai as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage quality assurance and quality control procedures for construction projects.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Identify and document quality issues, and collaborate with project teams to resolve them promptly.
• Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics and inspection results for management review.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure quality requirements are understood and met.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of junior QAQC staff and site personnel on quality processes.
