Job summary

Gems Education UAE is seeking a Primary SENCO to lead inclusive education initiatives within a British curriculum school in Dubai. This role is crucial in ensuring that students of determination receive comprehensive support aligning with UAE inclusion frameworks.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Education, experience as a SENCO, and a strong understanding of inclusive practices. Opportunities for career growth within a global education network are also available.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a SENCO or Inclusion Lead in a primary school.
• Strong understanding of UAE inclusion frameworks and KHDA requirements.
• Proven experience supporting students with diverse learning needs.
• Strong organisational and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage provision for students of determination across the primary phase.
• Develop and monitor Individual Education Plans and student profiles.
• Ensure all inclusion documentation is accurate and compliant with regulatory standards.
• Conduct learning walks, data reviews and quality assurance activities.
• Support teachers with differentiation strategies and inclusive classroom practices.
• Lead and develop Inclusion Teachers and Learning Support Assistants.
• Track student progress and evaluate effectiveness of interventions.
• Collaborate with parents, staff and external specialists for coordinated support.
• Support admissions, transitions and access arrangements for students.
