Responsibilities

• Dispense pharmaceuticals accurately according to prescription orders.
• Provide guidance and advice on the safe use of prescribed medications.
• Ensure that all drugs are administered in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
• Monitor drug therapies to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.
• Keep accurate records of all medication dispensed and administer appropriate documentation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws regarding the storage and distribution of medications.
• Participate in patient health education activities, providing information on the use of medications.
• Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety protocols.
