Job summary

Flyper is seeking a detail-oriented Library Assistant for our Dubai library. You will help with circulation, reference services, and collection maintenance, ensuring a welcoming, organized environment for patrons.

The role involves shelving, assisting patrons, and supporting programs. Must have a high school diploma; library experience and Arabic/English fluency are beneficial. Visa sponsorship is provided for non-residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred.
• Previous library or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and friendly customer service.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the circulation desk, including checking materials in and out, issuing library cards, and collecting fines.
• Provide reference services to patrons and help locate materials.
• Maintain the library collection by shelving, shelf-reading, and processing new items.
• Assist with basic computer tasks and patron account setup.
• Support library programs and events, including setup and logistics.
