Tanqeeb in Dubai, UAE seeks a finance professional to handle end-to-end accounting duties in a fast-paced environment. The role covers invoicing, VAT, intercompany balances, and month-end closing, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and at least 2 years of UAE accounting experience, preferably in trading or commodity sectors. Fluent English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• At least 2 years UAE accounting experience.
• Experience in trading/import-export or commodity business preferred.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Review and record supplier/customer invoices and other documents.
• Ensure correct accounting and tax treatment including revenue, COGS, and accruals.
• Allocate costs to sales and track gross profit.
• Record bank transactions and perform bank reconciliations.
• Perform SOA reconciliations with customers and suppliers.
• Record and reconcile intercompany transactions.
• Review UAE VAT and prepare VAT returns.
• Act as main user of the e-invoicing system.
• Record and reconcile inventory transactions.
• Participate in monthly and year-end closing.
• Assist with reconciliations, prepayments, accruals.
• Work with departments to resolve accounting issues.
• Perform other general accounting tasks.
