Job summary

Schindler UAE in Dubai invites a skilled Fitter to join our team. The primary purpose is the accurate and efficient installation of new escalators following stringent industry standards, with meticulous alignment and precise fitting to guarantee safety and reliability.

You will collaborate with project teams including engineers and contractors to meet deadlines, troubleshoot on site, inspect installations, document deviations, and share knowledge to optimize processes and performance.

Qualifications

• ITI or diploma holder or vocational/technical certificate required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar industry.
• Strong in Electrical/Mechanical skills.
• Testing and Commissioning is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the precise alignment assembly and installation of new escalator components to meet rigorous industry standards and project specifications.
• Collaborate with project teams including engineers and contractors to guarantee the timely completion of escalator installations and address any technical issues that arise on-site.
• Conduct thorough inspections of newly installed escalators to verify correct installation and functionality documenting any deviations and taking corrective actions as necessary.
• Facilitate seamless communication and coordination throughout the installation process ensuring all tasks are clearly understood and executed.
• Provide technical guidance to team members based on past experience optimizing installation processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
