Job summary

AWS (Amazon Data Services Emirates LLC) offers a 6-month Engineering Operations Technician Traineeship in Dubai for UAE nationals with family book, with a path to a permanent role in data center operations.

You will gain hands-on experience maintaining mechanical and electrical systems, collaborating with diverse teams, and using CMMS within a safety-focused site. This full-time program may include shifts and on-call rotations as part of job readiness.

Qualifications

• UAE National with family book.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Technical/Trade school program (HVAC, electrician, facilities maintenance or similar).

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining and operating mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Support root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Help troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Take daily operational readings of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Use CMMS to manage workflows.
• Work alongside third-party vendors and contractors onsite.
• Work with mission-critical equipment including diesel generators, switchgear, UPSs, PDUs, and air handling units.
• Deal with chillers, cooling towers, pumps, motors, VFDs and building automation systems.
