Job summary

Phoenician Technical Services in Dubai seeks a qualified Safety Officer to develop and implement health and safety policies in line with UAE regulations. You will perform regular site inspections, coordinate training, and ensure compliance across projects.

The role requires a NEBOSH certificate and 2–3 years UAE experience, with opportunities to coordinate with authorities. Immediate joining for full-time work in Dubai.

Qualifications

• University Diploma in Engineering, Science, or Safety.
• NEBOSH International Certificate.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of UAE experience.
• IOSH (Optional).
• A team player with proven ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
• Proven working experience in Safety in the construction field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with UAE laws and applicable regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards, unsafe practices, and non-compliance.
• Monitor compliance with industry safety standards and ensure a safe working environment for employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Support emergency preparedness by developing evacuation plans and response procedures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Organize and deliver occupational health and safety training for employees and site personnel.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety practices into daily operations.
• Develop and maintain OHS policies, programs, inspection records, and incident reports.
• Coordinate with relevant government authorities, safety organizations, and other external stakeholders.
• Ensure the required certifications and registrations are maintained for relevant authorities, including RTA and DEWA, as applicable.
