Job summary

STS Aviation Services in Dubai seeks an experienced Certifying Engineer (Cabin/Workshop) to oversee cabin and workshop maintenance activities, certify work, and ensure regulatory compliance under GCAA, EASA, and CAA Part 145.

The successful candidate will review work packages, issue release-to-service certificates, and maintain the technical integrity of maintenance across the Middle East operations, reporting to the Director of Operations.

Qualifications

• Hold a GCAA, EASA, or CAA license and be acceptable to STS Aviation Services and the GCAA.
• Minimum of 8 years of cabin or workshop maintenance experience.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Certifying Engineer.
• Strong working knowledge of GCAA, EASA, and CAA Part 145 aviation regulations.
• Experience certifying cabin or workshop maintenance activities per applicable authorization requirements.
• Ability to review technical documentation and maintenance work packages for regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of aviation maintenance safety, quality, and certification procedures.
• Excellent communication, management, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage allocated component maintenance inputs and oversight to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Issue certificates of release to service for components within the Staff Authorization Document scope.
• Certify maintenance work within the assigned area.
• Ensure maintenance tasks follow current component publications, approved technical documentation, and applicable aviation regulations.
• Review and certify complete maintenance work packages in line with Part 145 requirements.
• Verify that all required maintenance tasks are completed and certified by workshop personnel and other authorized staff.
• Confirm that maintenance documentation complies with aircraft publications and Part 145 procedures.
• Maintain accountability for the technical integrity of all work performed in the area.
