Job summary

DC Aviation Al Futtaim in Dubai, UAE seeks a Certifying Engineer to support safe and timely maintenance of business aviation aircraft on-site. You will supervise maintenance personnel, certify releases to service, and coordinate resources to ensure on-time flight operations.

The role requires UAE CAR 66 and EASA Part 66 licences with 5+ years in corporate or VIP aviation, plus preferred type ratings (Global Express, Global 7500-8000, Gulfstream G650, Falcon 6x-7x, Challenger series).

Qualifications

• Valid UAE CAR 66, EASA Part 66 B1/B1-2 licences with five years of corporate or VIP aviation experience.
• Relevant type ratings include Bombardier Global Express, Global 7500-8000, Legacy 650, Gulfstream G650, Falcon 6x-7x, and Challenger 604-605 aircraft.
• Previous Middle East experience is advantageous.
• Must hold a valid UAE driving licence or be eligible to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Exercise the applicable licence and approvals for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and defect rectification.
• Ensure maintenance activities meet safety, efficiency, and regulatory standards.
• Record maintenance and issue Certificates of Release to Service per regulations and procedures.
• Review work and resources to expedite defect rectification.
• Inform Maintenance Manager of potential service disruptions and technical problems.
• Keep Maintenance Manager informed of work performed during duty periods.
• Supervise personnel to ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements.
• Establish work priorities to optimize resource use and safe, on-time departures.
• Complete maintenance documentation and certification within deadlines.
• Verify replacement parts are approved, certified, released, and inspected before installation.
• Ensure removed components are labelled and handled correctly.
• Provide timely technical delay reports and escalation of defects or incidents.
