Job summary

Fincrew seeks a compliance professional to build and own the regulatory framework for crypto operations in the UAE. You will implement AML/CFT policies, perform risk assessments and ensure VARA alignment, while coordinating with Legal, Operations and Product to embed compliance across processes.

You will conduct KYC/KYB, CDD/EDD and sanctions checks, oversee Travel Rule tasks, and guide blockchain analytics. English fluency and startup-paced adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of compliance experience in crypto, VASP, fintech, EMI or banking.
• Practical knowledge of UAE VARA regulations and related bodies.
• Experience drafting AML/CFT policies and procedures.
• Solid understanding of KYC/KYB, CDD/EDD, sanctions and monitoring.
• Experience using blockchain analytics and compliance tools.
• Ability to build compliance processes in a growing startup.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Willingness to work remotely with overlapping Dubai hours and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the company's regulatory compliance and AML/CFT framework from the ground up.
• Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, risk assessments and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VARA regulations where applicable.
• Monitor regulatory updates and translate them into actionable requirements.
• Conduct KYC/KYB, CDD/EDD, sanctions screening and VASP due diligence.
• Review blockchain transactions, investigate suspicious activity and support STR reporting.
• Implement Travel Rule requirements and oversee blockchain analytics processes.
• Assess compliance risks related to new products, token listings and partnerships.
• Prepare regulatory documentation and support licensing applications, audits and inspections.
• Collaborate with Legal, Operations and Product to embed compliance into business processes.

• Review blockchain transactions, investigate suspicious activity and support STR reporting.
• Implement Travel Rule requirements and oversee blockchain analytics processes.
• Assess compliance risks related to new products, token listings and business partnerships.
• Prepare regulatory documentation and support licensing applications, audits and inspections.
• Work closely with Legal, Operations and Product teams to embed compliance into business processes.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 3+ years of compliance experience in crypto, VASP, fintech, EMI or banking.
• Practical knowledge of UAE virtual asset regulations (VARA, ADGM FSRA or SCA).
• Proven experience drafting and implementing AML/CFT policies and compliance procedures.
• Strong understanding of KYC/KYB, CDD/EDD, sanctions, Travel Rule and transaction monitoring.
• Experience using blockchain analytics and compliance tools.
• Ability to independently build compliance processes in a growing startup.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Availability to work remotely with overlapping Dubai business hours and occasional travel to Dubai.

Nice to have:

• Experience supporting a VARA licensing process.
• CAMS or ICA certification.
