Job summary

Work corp in Dubai, UAE is seeking a skilled Accountant to manage financial transactions, maintain ledgers, and ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance across the books. You will prepare financial statements and reports, monitor accounts receivable and payable, assist budgeting and forecasting, and support annual audits and tax filings, while liaising with auditors, government agencies, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role in the UAE.
• Proficient in using accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks, SAP).
• Strong understanding of local accounting standards and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial records including ledgers, journals, and invoices
• Monitor accounts receivable and payable to ensure timely payments
• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of financial data
• Prepare financial statements and reports for management review
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Provide support during annual audits and tax filings
• Liaise with external stakeholders such as auditors, government agencies, and vendors
• Stay updated on changes in local laws and regulations related to accounting and finance
