Job summary

DSV – Global transport and logistics in the UAE seeks an experienced driver to operate company vehicles in compliance with traffic rules, ensuring safe transport, pickup and accurate delivery as per schedule.

You will maintain vehicles, report issues, follow route plans, complete trip sheets, and uphold HSE standards while assisting with distribution tasks and customer service. Valid UAE driving license required; minimum 2 years GCC experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid UAE driving license for the vehicle category.
• Basic communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues.
• Aptitude to safety and adherence to HSE requirements.
• Good knowledge of UAE traffic rules and road safety practices.
• Good eyesight for day and night driving.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles and ensure compliance with traffic laws.
• Maintain the vehicle and report any complaints to supervisor/workshop.
• Prioritize deliveries and suggest improvements to route plans.
• Report damages or shortages during delivery.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and raise non-conformances when needed.
• Complete trip sheets and submit delivery notes within 24 hours to OCC.
• Comply with HSE requirements.
• Supervise distribution assistants and report misconduct.
• Adhere to traffic regulations and avoid penalties.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this position is to drive the company vehicles in compliance with the traffic rules to ensure safe transportation, pickup, and accurate delivery of goods/items to the customers as per their schedule.

• Ensuring vehicle is maintained properly and complaints, if any, are reported immediately to the supervisor and the workshop team.
• Prioritizing deliveries and suggesting improvements to the daily route plans.
• Reporting damages, excess / shortages if any, during delivery.
• Handling customer complaints in a pleasant and non-confrontational manner and in the agreed method and raise non-conformances where necessary.
• Completing the trip sheets with all relevant information and handing it over to the supervisor towards the end of every shift.
• Submitting delivery notes to OCC within 24 hours on delivery.
• Complying with the HSE requirements.
• Supervising the distribution assistants and reporting any misconduct to the supervisor immediately.
• Ensuring that the traffic regulations are strictly always observed while driving on the road and all penalties and fines on account of violation are avoided.
• Performing any other related duties / projects assigned by the direct supervisor from time to time to meet the business exigencies.

• Valid driving license relevant to the vehicle category is preferred.
