Job Description

• Safely operate vehicles to transport goods or passengers to designated locations while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in optimal working condition, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
• Stay updated on local traffic laws, road conditions, and company policies to ensure compliance and adaptability during trips.
• Demonstrate a customer-focused attitude by providing excellent service and addressing client inquiries or concerns during transport.
• Assist in training new drivers on company protocols, vehicle operation, and safety practices to enhance team efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to provide updates on delivery status and address any arising issues.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle mileage, and fuel consumption to comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured and protected from damage during transportation, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Desired Candidate Profile

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification, demonstrating foundational knowledge and reliability.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, showcasing responsibility and adherence to traffic regulations.
• Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience, particularly in logistics or passenger transport, indicating a proven track record.
• Fluency in English and knowledge of local languages preferred for effective communication with diverse clients and teams.
• Physical stamina and strength to handle loading/unloading cargo and long hours of driving, ensuring personal well-being.
• Strong time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks and meet delivery deadlines without compromising safety.
