Job summary

NMDC Group is seeking a 2nd Officer for a trailing suction hopper dredger in the UAE. You will maintain a safe navigational watch, assist the Master, and ensure compliance with COLREGs and company procedures during dredging and transit operations.

You will operate ECDIS, radar, GPS, AIS and other bridge equipment, maintain logs, support port entries, and supervise junior deck crew while upholding SMS, ISM and SOLAS standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed as officer in charge of Navigation Watch.
• Basic & Advanced STCW training completed.
• ILO/MLC medical fitness certificate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe navigational watch and assist Master.
• Operate and monitor navigational equipment (ECDIS, radar, GPS, AIS).
• Assist in planning and executing dredging and transit operations with the Master and bridge team.
• Monitor vessel position, depth and safe navigation during dredging operations.
