Draftsman

Responsibilities:

1. Create preliminary design sketches for conceptual analysis
2. Create engineering drawings and designs for production and manufacturing
3. Create design specifications, documentation, and material lists
4. Estimate material and production costs for designs
5. Prepare complete documentation packages for engineers
6. Verify drawings are correct to specifications, codes, and other regulations
7. Develop technical reports for engineers

Qualifications:

1. Ability to operate computer-aided design (CAD) software and manual drafting workstations
2. Ability to multitask and manage several projects at a time
3. Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
4. Interpersonal skills to work within a team, taking direction from Project Managers and Engineers
5. Time management skills to complete error-free work within the required timeframe
6. Communication skills with an emphasis on reading and writing for creating documentation and reports
7. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop creative solutions
