ROLE SUMMARY
The DPH Category Manager is responsible for coordinating with buyers as well as supporting purchases for MAF Retail. The role holder is also responsible for assisting with selection and examining products that get to store shelves, in catalogues, and online.

ROLE PROFILE

1. Implement effective strategies for sourcing goods and maintaining desired stock levels.
2. Research and suggest new suppliers with long-term cost savings or quality improvement.
3. Prepare and review purchase details of orders and deliveries.
4. Engage in sourcing the best quality products for competitive prices aligned with the organisation’s objectives.
5. Manage the issuances of tenders and RFQs to the market in coordination with the relevant business users within MAF Retail.
6. Identify profitable suppliers and initiate partnerships.
7. Develop and provide inputs on the risk evaluation of existing and future supply contracts.
8. Control spending and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
9. Develop a database of key trends in consumer retail.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration.
2. Master’s Degree is advantageous.
3. 5– 7 years in a similar position.
4. 2 – 4 years in retail/FMCG industry is preferred.
