Technical Subject Matter Expert – Field Service Downhole
- Optimize field service procedures for installingdownhole products, considering customer field environments.
- Collaborate with PID downhole product experts to update procedures as needed.
- Manage job reporting, ensuring proper documentation by site Supervisors, QC, and HSE personnel to meet company and audit standards.
- Provide technical support to field service teams for inspecting downhole products.
- Assist QA / QC teams with customer claims and investigations related to field service activities.
- Publish lessons learned and best practices periodically for field service activities.
- Confirm compatibility of running tools and accessories with fiberglass pipes.
Competency Management of Downhole Field Service Manpower
- Monitor and manage the competency levels of field service engineers.
- Develop training programs to qualify field service engineers.
- Support recruitment efforts for new field service engineers specializing in downhole activities.
- Ensure customer service expectations are consistently met.
Coordination of Downhole Field Service Activity
- Coordinate with local sales teams to assess manpower needs for field service engineers.
- Ensure adequate manpower availability to support downhole activity development across all geo-markets.
- Work with local field service managers to optimize resource utilization.
- Organize temporary allocation of field service engineers outside their geographical areas when required.
- Oversee reporting of service activities for downhole operations.
Development of Service Activity
- Identify new service needs and collaborate with relevant departments to develop solutions.
- Support global sales teams in promoting the service portfolio and creating strong value propositions.
- Establish and review Scope of Work (SOW) for service contracts as necessary.
QHSE Compliance
- Adhere to safety, quality, and environmental control procedures and instructions.
- Report unsafe acts, incidents, or violations.
- Foster a safety culture by ensuring all staff comply with HSE policies and procedures.
- Participate in QHSE audits, incident reporting, customer claim investigations, and performance reviews.
- Ensure consistent service quality delivery across all field service teams worldwide.
- Encourage sharing and development of best practices among field service teams.
Qualifications, Experience, & Skills
Required Qualifications :
- Preferably a degree in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering.
Preferred Experience :
- 5–10 years of experience managing Drilling & Workover Services operations (Tubular Running Services), including resource allocation.
- 5–10 years of field experience in Drilling & Workover Services (Tubular Running Services).
Job-Specific Skills :
- Strong expertise in Drilling and Workover operations and services.
- Extensive experience in Tubular Running Services (TRS).
- Adequate experience in fiberglass pipe manufacturing and installation.
- A commercial mindset to identify and develop new service opportunities.
