Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the general operation and cleanliness of student dormitories.
  • Enforce dormitory policies and ensure compliance with university rules and regulations.
  • Serve as a point of contact for students residing in the dorms regarding concerns, maintenance issues, or emergencies.
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms and common areas to maintain safety and hygiene standards.
  • Coordinate student check-in and check-out processes, including room assignments and inventories.
  • Maintain accurate records of occupancy, incidents, and maintenance requests.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies or incidents within the residence halls, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
  • Promote a healthy residential environment by organizing orientation sessions, awareness campaigns, or engagement activities.
  • Liaise with campus security, housekeeping, and maintenance teams to ensure timely service delivery.
  • Provide basic guidance and support to students regarding personal or interpersonal concerns, referring to counselors when necessary.

Qualification

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Work, Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in student affairs, residence life, or facility supervision.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
