Job Description
Job DetailsThe Document Controller is responsible for managing and maintaining all project-related documentation in a systematic and organized manner. This role ensures proper documentation control, version tracking, and timely distribution in compliance with company policies and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:Maintain control of all incoming and outgoing documents including drawings, material submittals, RFIs, method statements, and correspondence.Establish and maintain an organized document control system to ensure accurate filing, tracking, and retrieval of project documents.Monitor document lifecycle, ensuring timely submissions, revisions, and approvals in line with project timelines.Distribute documents to relevant departments, consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders as required.Ensure all documentation complies with contractual, legal, and regulatory standards.Coordinate with project managers, engineers, site staff, and external parties for document-related matters.Generate transmittals and maintain comprehensive document logs and registers.Provide administrative support for audits, progress reporting, and project meetings.Requirements:Diploma or Bachelor s degree in Administration, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum 3 years of experience as a Document Controller in a contracting or construction environment (UAE experience preferred).Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel; familiarity with Aconex or other document control software is a plus.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.Preferred Qualities:Familiarity with ISO standards and document management protocols.Knowledge of construction terminology and document types.Experience working with consultants, clients, and project management consultants (PMC).Salary: Commensurate with experience
