Job Title: Document Controller

About the Role:

A leading MEP contractor in the UAE is seeking a seasoned Document Controller to support ongoing and upcoming projects. The ideal candidate is a highly organised and tech-savvy professional with more than 10 years of experience in document control, project coordination, and digital reporting within the construction or MEP sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end document control process for large-scale construction or MEP projects.
  • Maintain and update project schedules, trackers, and logs using Microsoft Excel (advanced functions such as pivot tables, macros, etc.).
  • Handle uploads/downloads, file distribution, and version control through various platforms (e.g., Aconex, Procore, or equivalent).
  • Develop dashboards and automated reports using Power BI to assist in project tracking and decision-making.
  • Organize and archive technical documents, drawings, RFIs, submittals, and correspondence accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and project managers to ensure seamless document flow and compliance.
  • Conduct periodic audits to maintain high documentation standards.
  • Provide administrative support and reporting to project and operations teams as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of document control experience in the UAE within the construction or MEP industry.
  • Expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel (data handling, reporting, scheduling).
  • Experience with Power BI and data visualisation tools.
  • Proficient in document control systems (e.g., Aconex, Procore, EDMS, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation, and time management.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced project environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
