Job description
Overview

We are looking to hire a Document Controller who will be responsible for tracking, updating, and maintaining various documents—including functional documents, correspondence, agreements, construction drawings, and project submittals—for our semi-government client based in Dubai, UAE, one of the largest real estate developers in the region.

This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 12 months and is renewable based on performance and business requirements. The role sits within the Contracts & Procurement (C&P) Department and reports directly to the Contracts Manager.

We are looking for a passionate Document Controller who ensures accuracy, confidentiality, and effective control of all records while streamlining processes. You should also have hands-on experience with Aconex and Unifier, strong knowledge of electronic document management systems, and prior exposure to large-scale construction and real estate projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, track, and store incoming documentation in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain an efficient document control system for easy retrieval and systematic archiving.
  • Liaise with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to manage approvals and circulation.
  • Handle construction drawings, submittals, and project documentation using Aconex/Unifier.
  • Participate in audits and ensure compliance with document control requirements.
  • Prepare regular reports on document status to support decision-making.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive records through proper access controls.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 1–3 years’ experience in document control, preferably within real estate or construction.
  • Proficiency in Aconex, Unifier, SharePoint, and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Knowledge of digital file formats, electronic documentation, and archiving systems.
