Job description
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and control project documents using Aconex and ensure proper filing, tracking, and retrieval.
- Register, classify, and distribute project correspondence, drawings, reports, and technical documents.
- Ensure that all documents comply with company and project-specific procedures and standards.
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure timely submission and approval of documents.
- Maintain an updated document control register and ensure version control.
- Prepare and generate document control reports for management review.
- Assist in project handover documentation and closeout reports.
- Ensure that all documents are stored securely and accessible only to authorized personnel.
- Support audit and compliance requirements by ensuring document accuracy and proper recordkeeping.
KEY QUALIFICATION:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Document Control (e.g., EDMS Aconex training or ISO 9001 Document Control Certification) is an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in document control in the UAE.
- Must have experience working in main contracting companies on building projects.
- Expertise in Aconex document management system is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of document control procedures and ISO standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must be locally available in the UAE and ready to join immediately.
