Job summary

Apave UAE seeks a Structural & Calculation Engineer to perform design reviews and independent calculations for major Dubai projects, including high-rises and infra works. You will validate FEA models, ensure stability, fire safety and compliance with UAE Fire & Life Safety Code and international standards.

On-site inspections and client advisory are key aspects of the role. Minimum 6–8 years in structural engineering calculations and design reviews, with DM accreditation and English fluency.

Qualifications

• Dubai Municipality structural accreditation/license is required.
• Proficiency in ETABS for modelling and analysis is essential.
• Strong knowledge of SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD Pro and FEA tools.
• Experience in design review for reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete and steel structures.
• Knowledge of UAE Fire & Life Safety Code and international standards.
• Excellent English written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform third‑party design reviews and independent structural calculations for complex buildings.
• Review and validate FE models and ensure gravity, seismic and wind loads are accurate.
• Verify fire resistance design and safety compliance per UAE and international codes.
• Act as DM Approved Structural Engineer representative for technical control and verification.
• Prepare technical reports, non‑conformity notices, and compliance certificates.
• Conduct site inspections and audit structural installations against approved models.
• Advise clients and contribute to technical-commercial proposals.
