Full Description

  • The Dive Technician Supervisor (DTS) is responsible for ensuring the effective maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of all onboard diving and life support equipment.
  • This role involves leading and supervising offshore dive technicians, while also managing the planning, execution, and coordination of mobilisation, demobilisation, and preservation activities for subsea diving systems and associated machinery

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing the daily upkeep and functionality of all electrical and mechanical components related to the dive system.
  • Delivers comprehensive training sessions on dive system operation and emergency procedures.
  • Manages and executes maintenance tasks in accordance the Planned Maintenance System (PMS), and equipment manufacturers' guidelines.
  • When not on-site, the role could involve office-based work, preparing reports, managing communications, and overseeing planning.
  • Experience

  • 10–15 years of hands-on experience as a senior diving technician on DSV surface / saturation systems, with a deep understanding of system integration with vessel operations.
  • Advanced knowledge in one or more technical domains—electrical, electronic, mechanical, or hydraulic systems—and is proficient in diving system maintenance programs such as PMS (e.g., NAMS or equivalent).
  • Comprehensive Technical Expertise in diving and support equipment, including maintenance oversight through Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS) and coordination with subcontractors.
  • Qualifications

  • Electrical or mechanical trade qualification, with certification for Kirby Morgan Hat maintenance.
  • IMCA-recognised Dive Technician certificate, a valid IMCA Dive Technician logbook, and an IMCA company member competence certificate or equivalent.
