Job summary

Expo Village Restaurant in Dubai is hiring a Kitchen Steward to join the pre-opening team of a new Italian restaurant. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment to support our launch.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward, Dishwasher, or in a similar restaurant or hospitality role is preferred.
• Good understanding of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically able to handle the demands of a busy kitchen.
• Reliable, punctual, organized, and willing to work as part of a team.
• Willing to learn and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
• Keep dishwashing and kitchen areas clean and organized
• Maintain cleanliness of floors, work areas, sinks, and back-of-house areas
• Properly handle and dispose of kitchen waste
• Ensure clean equipment and utensils are returned to the correct areas
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing kitchen supplies when required
• Support the kitchen team with basic tasks as needed
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures
• Help maintain cleanliness standards throughout service and at closing
• Participate in pre-opening cleaning, organization, and kitchen setup
