Position Summary

The Director of Logistics and Operational Procurement Middle East is responsible for overseeing and optimizing both logistics and procurement operations across the Middle East region. This role ensures the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of goods, while managing procurement operations to ensure cost efficiency, supplier performance, and alignment with the organization's overall goals. The Director will focus on driving operational excellence, improving supply chain efficiency, and ensuring compliance with regulations across the region. As the business is growing and the team is expanding, this role will require adaptability to scale operations and implement new processes to meet the increasing demands. Based primarily in Dubai, the role requires frequent travel across the Middle East to collaborate with regional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders. Reporting to the VP SCM & RE, the Director will lead a growing team of 25 professionals and work closely with other functions within the Supply Chain Management (SCM) organization to ensure seamless alignment of logistics and procurement processes.

Minimum Requirements

Proven ability to lead and manage a growing team of 25 specialists across diverse locations in the Middle East region.

? Extensive experience in logistics and operational procurement,

? Strong negotiation skills, with experience in supplier management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization,

? Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills,

? Proficiency in Power Point and Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and forecasting,

? Willingness and ability to travel frequently across the Middle East region as required,

? Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align logistics and procurement strategies with broader business objectives,

? Flexibility and adaptability to adjust strategies, processes, and team structures in response to the organization's growth and changing business needs,

? Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities,

? Excellent English skills, both written and verbal.

Main Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day logistics and procurement activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services,

? Develop and implement a cohesive logistics and procurement strategy for the Middle East Region that aligns with company and SCM objectives, focusing on transportation, warehousing, inventory management, tooling management, and procurement operations,

? Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure optimal procurement strategies to support regional logistics needs,

? Lead negotiations with suppliers, logistics providers, and third-party service providers to secure favorable terms and partnerships,

? Monitor and improve the efficiency of logistics networks, optimizing transportation routes and reducing costs, while ensuring timely deliveries,

? Oversee tooling management and manage ground support equipment (GSE) to ensure that all necessary equipment is available, operational, and well-maintained to support activities,

? Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, vendors, and logistics service providers.

? Lead, mentor, and develop a growing team of logistics and procurement professionals, fostering a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

? Adapt logistics and procurement strategies to scale with new market demands, ensuring seamless integration of new processes, tools, and teams,

? Work closely and align logistics and procurement processes with other Supply Chain Management (SCM) functions to ensure cohesive operations, optimizing end-to-end supply chain efficiency,

? Develop and implement procurement policies, best practices, and guidelines across the Middle East region,

? Drive a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating and optimizing existing logistics and procurement processes, focusing on cost reduction, service level improvement, and process efficiency,

? Ensure compliance with local, regional, and organizational legal and regulatory standards related to logistics, procurement, tooling, and ground support equipment management,

? Implement logistics and procurement technologies and systems to enhance supply chain visibility, tracking, and reporting.

? Expertise in lean management principles and applying them to logistics and procurement to reduce waste, enhance efficiency, and drive continuous improvement,

? Aviation or technical knowledge preferred.
